What is a Private Brand/Private Label?

Private Branding is when a large distribution channel member (usually a retailer), buys from a manufacturer in bulk and puts its own name on the product.

Private Label are products or services that are typically manufactured or provided by one company for offer under another company's brand. Private label clothing allows each store to create products and brand names for a distinct customer base. The news about these house brands can be spread through social media channels, while also helping build the store's brand at the same time.
